Hello, I'm Essie, and I'm so glad you're here. I wear a few hats – I'm a painter, a printmaker, a yoga instructor, and, at my core, a gatherer of souls. But really, what lights me up is creating spaces where beauty unfolds and connections deepen. Whim & Wonder Co. grew out of this deep belief I've always held: that people are craving beauty and connection in small, sacred ways. Not just big, flashy events, but those real, intimate moments where something shifts and you feel truly seen and inspired.
How We Came to Be
Whim & Wonder Co. began in a quiet space, born from a deep longing for something more meaningful within the creative world. Years spent painting, teaching yoga, and carving prints late into the night always led back to that feeling of seeking deeper connection and flow.
It was in the simple act of hosting small gatherings – art nights with friends, writing circles in backyards, dinner parties where creativity had a seat at the table – that something powerful unfolded. People weren’t just creating; they were softening, connecting, lighting up
The realization dawned: what truly resonated wasn't just the art itself, but the alchemy of gathering. It was in those shared moments that connection sparked, and creativity bloomed. And so, fueled by that feeling, Whim & Wonder Co. was built – rooted in the belief that gathering is sacred, creativity is healing, and beauty belongs in everyday life.
We don’t host big, flashy events. Instead, we focus on creating small, intentional experiences that meet you right where you are – in your home, in your garden, in a sun-dappled meadow. Our workshops are invitations to slow down, make something with your hands, and connect in ways that feel honest and effortless."
